When in Saint-Petersburg

 Follow the road rules.
 During the excursion follow the route that was indicated by your guide.
 Don’t leave your seats during the bus is driving.
 Don’t leave your things without care  during the excursions, in the restaurant, in the museums, theaters etc. The great amount of the restaurants where you eat don’t have the clock-room and the staff offers you to leave you cloth in the coat-hangers in the hall. Please, choose the hanger that you can see. Remember, your money, papers, values and cameras are interesting for the robbers.
 After the end of the excursion, don’t forget your things in the bus. As a rule, the bus has several orders during the day and it can be difficult to find the umbrellas, cameras, books, etc that you forgot.
 During the being on the upper deck or ob the cutter while the rivers and canal excursion, be careful, don’t leave your seats to avoid the injury.
 During the excursion to Kronstadt it’s forbidden to visit forts because of the risk of injury.

  The settling hour in the hotels is 12.00. The guarantee time of the occupancy is 14.00. Before this time the occupancy is executed only if the rooms are available. If the room is not available you can use the luggage offices. Departure from the hotel after 12.00 is extra paid ( in general 50% from the day price but in some hotels it can be the price for the full day).
  In the extraordinary situations the inbound travel company keeps the right to change the museums and excursions to the equal for the price and subject.
  The inbound travel company don’t have any responsibility for the things that were lost be the tourist or robbed.
  The damage that is impaired to the property of the hotel, coffee, transport or any other company that serves the tour is paid be the person who impaired according to the prices of the company.

 

 

 City transport

Saint Petersburg has a well-developed public transportation system including buses, street cars, trolleybuses, and the Metro system.

Above-ground transportation

• Operates from 6.00 to 24.00. Fare is collected through the sale of special tickets. One ticket (for a single one-way trip) costs RUR 14.00, it can be obtained right in the vehicle from conductors.

• Charter taxis (buses, mini-buses) circulate along all main routes - as a rule, 7.00 - 22.00. Fare is RUR 15.00 - 40.00.

The Metro System

•  In St.Petersburg, 59 underground stations form 4 lines.

•  The Metro operates from 5.45 to 24.00.

•  Line transfers stop at 0.10.

•  The fare is RUR 25.00, paid by special tokens (which may be also used for local calls on some city's pay-phones) / by magnetic cards available at all Metro stations.

Taxis

Taxies can be recognized by the checkered stripes and the letter "T" on the car door, or the highlighted sign "Taxi" on the roof.

•  The fare is RUR 25.00 - 30.00 per kilometer.                                            

The larger hotels maintain their own fleets of cabs for their clients, but they charge a considerably higher fare.

Although many taxi-parks have their own taxi-order services, taxies may be also ordered via the centralized taxi-order service, tel. 312-0022, 24 hours a day.

 

 

The five operating railway stations of St.Petersburg carry out transportation services both within Russia and the CIS and abroad. Information about trains (charged): tel. 055, 24 hours a day.

The St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport is placed on two sites, which carry out the whole complex of domestic and international transportation services. The close location of the sites makes the Pulkovo Airport attractive for transit to other cities in Russia and the CIS via Saint Petersburg.
